According to a report from the Department of Science and
Technology (S&T), during the 2018-2022 period, the Department has organized
the acceptance and application of 33 science and technology topics and projects
at the provincial and lower levels. Currently, the whole province has
established 6 S&T enterprises.
In order to connect and develop the science and technology
market, the Department has signed cooperation agreements with units of the
Ministry of Science and Technology, institutes and schools. The “Dong Nai
online technology and equipment exchange (donatex.vn)” has been put into
operation to build and exploit a technology information database system,
creating solutions to commercialize technology products, scientific and technological
research products, promoting technology transactions; province services and
consulting, brokerage, and technology transfer; organizing events related to
the activities of the science and technology market; creating an innovation and
technological innovation environment to improve competitiveness for businesses;
and organizing and participating in exhibitions connecting science and
technology enterprises...
The team works with Sonadezi Corporation.
However, science and technology market development activities
still have many difficulties and policy inadequacies such as: Currently,
science and technology enterprises do not benefit from tax incentives or annual
land rents, so many enterprises qualified to become science and technology
enterprises are not enthusiastic about registering to join local science and
technology enterprises; obstacles in implementing Decree 70 on management and
use of assets formed through the implementation of science and technology tasks
using State capital.
Speaking at the supervision session, Vice Chairwoman of the
Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang requested the Department of
Science and Technology to accept the opinions of the Supervision Team to
supplement and complete the report to send to the Supervision Team; committing
focusing on science and technology statistics. At the same time, the province
also proposed to modify a number of bottlenecks in developing the science and
technology market such as: the science and technology development fund for
businesses and amendments to Decree 70 on management and use of assets formed
through the implementation of science and technology tasks using state capital.

Concluding at the monitoring session, Nguyen Phuong Tuan,
Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Science, Technology and Environment
Committee requested the province to supplement data in the report, especially
the report on the budget used for science and technology activities in recent
times; support training and development of high quality human resources for
S&T; and review policies to support businesses in developing high
technology, etc.
