Advisory Council selects provincial-level science and technology tasks for 2026 in the field of medical sciences

On October 7, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology organized an Advisory Science Council meeting to determine the list of provincial-level science and technology tasks for 2026 (phase I) in the field of medical sciences. Mr. Pham Van Trinh, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Science and Technology, chaired the meeting.
Mr. Pham Van Trinh, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Science and Technology, chaired the meetingAccording to the report of the Department of Science and Technology, 11 research projects in the field of medical sciences were proposed, focusing on current pressing issues such as: the current situation and effectiveness of interventions to improve the quality of initial emergency care; research on the potential treatment of diabetes; application of artificial intelligence in the treatment of congenital hemolytic anemia; research on the mental health of high school students in Dong Nai; effectiveness of dengue fever prevention and control; and research on the current situation of roundworm larval infection and so on.
The council discussed and evaluated the proposed projectsThe council discussed and evaluated in detail the urgency, potential; scientific and feasibility; duplication; applicability, and suitability with Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation... of the proposed projects.
The council proceeded to vote on the approval of the list of provincial-level tasks for 2026 in the field of medical sciences. As a result, 4 out of 11 proposed tasks were passed by the council.
