the event
Addressing
the launch ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial
People's Committee emphasized that Dong Nai province's creative startup
ecosystem in recent years has been increasingly perfect, creating conditions
for the formation and development of next-generation businesses in Dong Nai
province, operating based on the exploitation of advanced technologies, with abilities
to quickly access domestic and foreign markets. In order to contribute to
spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation to all classes of
people, promoting the results achieved, overcome limitations, difficulties and
challenges, maintain fast, comprehensive and sustainable development, Dong Nai
province determines to further promote innovation and constantly apply science
and technology to socio-economic life. The launch ceremony of TechFest DongNai
2024 Innovative Startup Festival is an event that demonstrates that
determination.
Also,
according to Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi
Hoang, in the context of increasingly deep international integration, to
improve competitiveness and grasp new trends and new opportunities of the
global knowledge economy, we must promote innovation, considering innovation as
the source of increased wealth. Dong Nai province wishes to continue to receive
support from the Ministry of Science and Technology, and in addition, departments,
agencies and organizations in the province join hands to connect resources
inside and outside the province for Dong Nai's startup activities for them to constantly
innovate, contributing to the economic development of the country in general
and Dong Nai province.

Technology presents the Innovation Index
At the launch
ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of
Science and Technology introduced the Innovation Index, which is comprised of a
composite index of 52 component indexes, approved by the Ministry of Science
and Technology in order to provide an overall picture of the current status of
the socio-economic development model based on science, technology and
innovation of each locality;

Science and Technology Enterprise certificate to Hiday Company Limited
On this
occasion the Department of Science and Technology also awarded the Science and
Technology Enterprise certificate to Hiday Company Limited (based in Buu Long
ward).
At the
ceremony Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of
Science and Technology; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial
People's Committee, jointly kickstarted the ceremony of button pressing to
launch the Dong Nai province's Innovative and Startup Festival - TechFest
DongNai 2024.
Conference
on circular economy
Immediately
after the launch ceremony, a conference on circular economy was held with the
participation of delegates, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. of Science Pham Duc
Chinh, Senior Lecturer of the University of Economics-Law, National University,
Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Pham Thi Hong Phuong - Head of Ecological Technology
Village, Ecotech - Techfest Vietnam; Dr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of
Environmental Water Management, with topics: Circular Economy - Sustainable
Development - Innovative Startup, and Mr. Huynh Thanh Trung - General Director
of Leanwares Joint Stock Company, an expert of VISA (Vietnam Industry Support Alliance)
through the following topics: Circular Economic Model in Agriculture (banana
trees and products from banana trees); Circular Economic Model in Industrial
Park (green industrial park, sustainable development); and green factory design
solutions.
Delegates

The
conference also spent time for delegates to discuss and talk on related issues.
In particular, many delegates who are students at universities in the province
expressed their interest in the topic of circular economic development at the
present time, especially the role and plans of the universities for circular
economic development, green economy and sustainable development.
