TECHFEST -
WHISE 2023 is chaired by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh
City People's Committee, jointly held by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science
and Technology, Department of Science and Technology Enterprise and Market
Development (NATEC), National Creative Startup Support Center (NSSC), Startup
Vietnam Foundation (SVF) and Project 844 Office.

The National
Innovation Startup Festival and Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Startup
Week 2023 aims to provide opportunities to connect financial resources,
partners, develop domestic and international markets, and share knowledge with founders,
helping businesses to effectively utilize resources and spurring economy
development. Also, it aims to promote an open innovation ecosystem with the
participation of large business networks, a community of experts and innovative
startups to develop products from exploiting indigenous resources and solutions
for global food security, logistics platforms to serve and ensure the supply
chain in cases of natural disasters and epidemics, and new energy technologies
to ensure sustainable development, hence, elevating the innovative startup
ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general to
international integration.
With more
than 40 events taking place during the week, there are highlights such as, in two
days, between November 24 and 25, 2023, activities to exhibit and introduce
science and technology products, business connection and investment connection were
organized to expand cooperation opportunities with nearly 200 innovative
projects/enterprises participating in exhibitions with Vietnamese and regional
startup ecosystem; the final round of National
Innovation Startup Talent Competition and calling for investment capital,
Vietnam Innovation Summit 2023 (VIS 2023), STEM Smartschool Kidkul Competition,
AI Hackathon 2023 KDI & SHTP-IC Competition, Microcircuit Design for Smart
Cities Competition 2023, the final round of Startup Ideas Competition - CiC
2023, and a summary of activities connecting the innovation ecosystem, and so
on.

activities on the theme of innovation and entrepreneurship take place at the
event series
TECHFEST -
WHISE 2023 will be a special opportunity for the startup community to summarize
innovation activities and innovative startups in Ho Chi Minh City; Connecting
the city's innovation startup ecosystem with neighboring provinces to
contribute to the regional and national innovation startup ecosystem; gathering
and introducing successful startup models while honoring groups and individuals
who have positively contributed to innovation and startup activities in Ho Chi
Minh City and the country.
