In the celebration of World IP Day 2024, the National Office
of Intellectual Property in cooperation with localities organizes activities on
the occasion of World IP Day with the purpose of propagandizing and raising
awareness of the role of intellectual property playing in public life, under
the theme given by the World Intellectual Property Organization, contributing
to raising awareness, respect, protection of intellectual property rights and
other achievements.
It is expected that in April, the National Office of
Intellectual Property will organize several activities: "Innovation Day - April
21", "World Intellectual Property Day - April 26; World IP Day celebration
in Hanoi with the coordination of Hanoi Department of Science and Technology
and the University of Transport, and a celebration event to celebrate World IP
Day in Thua Thien-Hue province.
In addition, in response to April 26, the National Office of
Intellectual Property launched many activities in different formats in
localities.
Dong Nai province has also issued a plan to organize
activities to celebrate World IP Day on April 26, 2024 in the province.
Accordingly, the province promotes propaganda activities in a great number of ways,
such as hanging banners, posters, etc. along its main roads; organize
information and propaganda on electronic information sites and social networks;
coordinate with news outlets in the province to develop propaganda topics... in
order to bring information about World IP Day 2024 to people from all walk of
life. It plans to launch the contest Learning about Intellectual Property Law
in Dong Nai province in 2024, which is aimed at bringing the IP law to life.
On April 24 the Department of Science and Technology in
coordination with relevant units organized a conference "Linking
Intellectual Property and sustainable development goals through innovation and
creativity activities" 24 at the Golden Palace Convention Cente, with the
participation of leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Departments,
Committees, agencies, organizations and the People's Committees of districts,
Long Khanh city, Bien Hoa city; and establishments and businesses that have
achieved 3-star or higher OCOP certificates; the Youth Union, Women's Union,
lecturers, students, youth members from universities across the province.

The conference focused on exchanging and discussing issues:
The role of Intellectual Property through establishing rights, protecting
rights and enforcing rights at home and abroad in accordance with the 17
sustainable development goals adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in
order to terminate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all; building
intellectual property culture via linking research activities and movements to
promote initiatives and creativity at institutes and universities in the
province; clarify the role of value in enterprises and the relationship between
value and Intellectual Property; share the innovation process in building
business strategies and promoting products through Health Solution Stories;
State management in innovation activities associated with Intellectual Property
(policies to support IP, technological innovation, intellectual property
development program, etc.).
On the sidelines the organizers also showcased typical
products resulting from innovation and creativity activities associated with
intellectual property of individuals and organizations in the province.
