On April 2, 2026 the Government issued Decision No. 604/QD-TTg approving the adjustment and supplementation of the Strategy for the Development of Science, Technology, and Innovation until 2030.

The People's Committee of Dong Nai province recently issued a document to departments, agencies, and localities regarding the implementation of Circular No. 1845/BTP-KSTT dated March 25, 2026 of the Ministry of Justice on the application of the Set of indicators for leadership, direction and evaluation of service quality to people and enterprises.

Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DoST) has just issued the Plan for Controlling Administrative Procedures in 2026 to organize, implement, disseminate, and meet the objectives, requirements, and tasks in accordance with Plan No. 10/KH-UBND dated January 8, 2026 of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province; and also, strengthen the application of digital transformation in handling administrative procedures to create convenience and minimize costs for individuals and organizations involving administrative procedures under the Department's authority.

The ranking of 12th out of 34 provinces and cities in the 2025 Provincial Innovation Index (PII), along with many component indices ranking in the top 5 nationwide, is considered an important foundation, creating a premise for Dong Nai to continue its breakthroughs, pursuing more ambitious goals in 2026 and beyond.

On the morning of March 31, a conference to implement, propose, and commission science and technology tasks to serve the development of research plans and the summarization of practical experiences in Dong Nai province for the 2026-2030 period was held at the Department of Science and Technology (DoST). Mr. Pham Van Trinh, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of DoST, chaired the conference. Attendees included leaders of provincial departments and agencies, representatives of communes and wards, institutes, universities, and research centers within and outside the province, and a large number of scientists.
