The Law on Chemicals, passed by the 15th National Assembly at the 9th session on June 14, 2025, will take effect from January 1, 2026. The Law on Chemicals regulates chemicals, chemical activity management; development of the chemical industry; chemical information; hazardous chemicals in products and goods; safety and security in chemical-related activities.

Businesses at the conference
At the conference, representatives of businesses were presented with the basic contents of the Law on Chemicals and guiding documents by experts from the Department of Chemicals. This aims to promote the application of the Law on Chemicals and its guiding documents in practice; ensure chemical safety; minimize chemical incidents; protect the environment, public health, and prevent fires and explosions.
Dong Nai is the 4th largest economy in the country, with a large number of businesses engaged in production and business activities. During the process, production, business activities, and daily life involve many stages utilizing various types of chemicals.

Chemicals play a very important role in the chemical sector in particular and the industry in general. However, activities related to chemicals also inherently carry numerous risks of incidents during production, business, use, storage, and transportation. Therefore, understanding the legal regulations related to chemicals and having the skills in preventing and handling incidents requires proactive responsibility from businesses, government agencies, and organizations.
