Progress of Project “Developing community-based economic development utilizing the internal resources of ethnic minority communities in Binh Phuoc province” evaluated

On October 23, the Department of Science and Technology held a Scientific Council meeting to inspect and evaluate the progress of the provincial-level project “Developing community-based economic development utilizing the internal resources of ethnic minority communities in Binh Phuoc province”. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, chaired the meeting.

The project “Developing community-based economic development utilizing the internal resources of ethnic minority communities in Binh Phuoc province” is led by Dr. Mai Minh Nhat. Da Lat University is the leading institution. The project is implemented from December 2024 to December 2026.
According to the progress report of the project team, up to date, the project has completed several tasks, including: systematizing the theoretical basis, community economic development based on internal resources, theoretical framework, literature review and lessons learned from domestic and international experiences on models of community economic development based on internal resources; successfully organizing the workshop “Analytical framework and issues related to community economic development based on internal resources”; conducting data collection, analysis, and processing: designing procedures, survey tools, questionnaires, in-depth interviews and group discussions, and gathering expert opinions; conducting field surveys in the research area with 555 questionnaires and 28 in-depth interviews; and implementing technical transfer training, etc. According to Dr. Mai Minh Nhat, all tasks have been completed on schedule and meet the requirements.
