As part of a series of events at the Dong Nai Provincial Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Festival 2025 (TechFest Dong Nai 2025), on the morning of October 10 the Dong Nai Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center and the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province jointly organized a workshop entitled “Goods Traceability and ESG Adoption Roadmap for Businesses towards Sustainable Development, Accessing Green Finance – Meeting International Standards.”

Mr. Pham Van Trinh, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, and leaders of departments, agencies, localities, experts, scientists, and businesses inside and outside the province attended the event.
In her opening speech, Ms. Trinh Thi Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, highlighted that sustainable development is an inevitable trend of the times, a key orientation in the socio-economic development strategy of the country in general and of Dong Nai province in particular, helping businesses to be transparent in their production and business processes, protect consumer rights, increase value, reputation and the ability to integrate into the international supply chain.

As an advisory agency on science, technology and innovation, the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province always focuses on promoting the application of digital technology, digital transformation and product traceability in businesses, associated with ESG criteria to form a transparent, green and sustainable production-consumption value chain. This is also a specific step to realize the orientation of developing a green economy, circular economy and knowledge economy that the province is persistently pursuing.

The workshop provided an opportunity for experts, managers, and businesses to exchange and share experiences and update on new trends in ESG practices and traceability implementation, while also discussing advanced technological solutions such as Blockchain, AI, and digital data management for sustainable development. This aimed to build a suitable ESG implementation roadmap for businesses in Dong Nai province, helping them effectively access green finance, enhance competitiveness, and reach international markets.
During the workshop, representatives from experts and businesses shared presentations on goods traceability - the importance of digital transformation for businesses in the journey of sustainable development; ESG practices and necessary preparations for Vietnamese businesses wanting to transform on the path of sustainable development; blockchain and AI technology – technological foundations, achievements, and challenges in the journey of sustainable digital technology development in Vietnam; Necessary preparations for Vietnamese businesses wanting to transform on the path of sustainable development; ASUS - Digital transformation, energy saving, green development, and strategies for accompanying Vietnamese businesses in the new era.

In particular, during the program, representatives from businesses shared their stories on the transformation journey to integrate into the trend of sustainable development.
