Conclusion of the training course on radiation incident response basics

Mr. Pham Van Trinh delivers the closing remarks for the training course

In his closing remarks, Mr. Pham Van Trinh, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of Dong Nai City Department of Science and Technology, acknowledged and commended the serious and responsible participation of the trainees throughout the training course.

During the course, the trainees were provided up-to-date basic knowledge on radiation safety, radiation and nuclear incident response; learned about current legal regulations; and practiced using radiation measuring equipment and specialized protective gears. This was not only an opportunity to enrich professional knowledge but also contributed to strengthening coordination among agencies and units in preparing for and responding to incidents.

The leader of the Department of Science and Technology requested that the trainees, upon returning to their agencies, units, and localities, continue to study and apply the knowledge acquired to their practical work; proactively advise and coordinate in developing and refining incident response plans appropriate to their assigned functions and tasks, contributing to improving the capacity for responding to radiation and nuclear incidents in the city. Finally, 116 trainees were given certificates of completion for the course at the closing ceremony.
