As part a series of events at the Dong Nai Provincial Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Festival 2025 – Techfest Dong Nai 2025, on the afternoon of October 9-10, a workshop entitled "Connecting Technology Supply and Demand, Commercializing Scientific, Technological, and Innovative Products" was held at the Dong Nai Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center (the Provincial Square).
Mr. Pham Van Trinh, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, and Deputy Directors including Nguyen Minh Quang, Vo Hoang Khai, Nguyen Thanh Phong, and Trinh Thi Hoa; leaders of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations; representatives from departments, agencies, institutes, schools, and the business community attended the workshop.
Mr. Vo Hoang Khai Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, delivered the opening remarks at the workshop
In his opening speech, Mr. Vo Hoang Khai, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, stated that over the past five years the province has had more than 200 science and technology projects and research topics, but the commercialization rate has only reached about 25%, and the number of businesses with regular technology innovation activities accounts for less than 30%. This shows that connecting technology supply and demand and commercializing science and technology products is a crucial link in creating a closed value chain in research-production-market cycle.
“Connecting technology supply and demand, commercializing scientific and technological products and innovation is not only the task of scientists or businesses, but a common mission of the whole society: officials and civil servants need to think innovatively in management, proactively improve administrative procedures to support businesses; businesses need to boldly invest in research and technological innovation, considering science as a lever for sustainable development; and union members, students, and lecturers – the young generation of the province – should make knowledge into action, ideas into products, and the entrepreneurial spirit into a substantive creative movement,” said Mr. Vo Hoang Khai, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
